about

Eccodek's brain-trust, Andrew McPherson, is no stranger to production and remix work, boasting a long list of releases that include Eccodek's 3 releases on U.S. label White Swan, countless remixes for Vieux Farka Touré, Transglobal Underground, Philosopher Kings, Turkey's Doublemoon Records, Dub Colossus, The McDades, Deva Premal, Natalie MacMaster and more. In 2010, Andrew and fellow Eccodek member Deliveryboy released "Metropolis Re:Scored", a contemporary live film score to accompany Fritz Lang's cinematic classic, 'Metropolis', widely praised by NYC's Huffington Post among others. He also maintains an active solo career with his last release "Lefty Singer" being cited by Canada's national radio broadcaster CBC as a top release for 2009. On "Remixtasy", Andrew re-works one of his favourites from Eccodek's "More Africa in Us" album. 'Calling the Rain' is re-imagined as an afrobeat burner.
