about

This is the 4th album from 2-time Juno Award nominee Andrew McPherson. His production, remix and songwriting work can be heard in the many collaborations and projects he has created over a 25 year career, most notably his world music project Eccodek. Bardo represents a return to the arena of songwriter, where Andrew's rich and powerful baritone takes centre stage and his new found confidence as a guitar player anchors this new body of songs. Still generously layered with his signature rich production, the songs are a result of a rigorous rethinking of the writing process, where every lyric and melodic turn is given thorough examination and refinement. Recorded and sequenced to be heard as an album and not a series of songs, Bardo harkens to the day when artists conceived their work as a complete and intentional narrative. Enjoy the journey.
