From the trailblazing Canadian global electronica project comes a propulsive live recording of this internationally recognized band. 'Living for live' represents the first time Eccodek’s potent blend of dub, world grooves and textured electronica has been faithfully captured in performance. Recorded on their 2011 Remixtasy tour, it’s instantly clear why the band continues to slay audiences 10 years and 5 albums into its career.

When Eccodek released Remixtasy in late 2011, it was dubbed a ‘remixtrospective’, because of the album’s career spanning collection of Eccodek remixes, created by some of the top producers in the global fusion scene. When it came time to tour Remixtasy, the band decided to take the album’s vibe to the next level by learning and playing the remix versions of their well loved catalogue. Listening to Living for Live, we think you’ll feel almost like you were there... Almost.

In advance of Remixtasy’s release, they rebuilt the rhythm section, adding the double threat of bassist Marc De Vos and drummer Adam Bowman to the longtime core group of Andrew McPherson (keys, flute), Deliveryboy (samples, beats), Brent Rowan (saxes, flutes) and Jason Shute (congas). The band has never sounded as vital and inspired as they do now.
