Me Then You is the first single from Canadian ambient artist Peppermoth's latest opus, The Second Bird. Here, Peppermoth's Andrew McPherson explores the child-like game of 'taking turns' by building a musical conversation over a gentle, Debussy-flavoured piano theme. Trumpet, guitar, analog synths all engage in musical handshakes by trading off or responding to the unfolding melodies. Dubbed out sonics, dusty brass treatments and a willowy, reverb-soaked synth collaborate in a blend of noir soundtrack and tripped out, ballet school accompaniment.

Recorded against the backdrop of a Canadian winter, you can feel both the stillness and weight of the cold and the uplifting promise of warmer, sunnier days to come.
