Nate Wize has been busy crafting his sound for the past 15 years as a producer, beatsmith and multi-instrumentalist. Known for his rogue mashes and remixes inspired by hip hop, bass culture and the energy of a northern forest, Nate also stays active as a regular touring member of multiple Juno-winning Dubmatix Soundsystem and beat arranger and DJ for Canada's Lee Reed. Nate transforms the dub-soaked gem 'Bodhichitta Dub' from Eccodek's first album into a hip-hop and jazz throwdown, fusing funk horns, percolating clavi's and sweet keyboards over the sensuous vocal performance of Ignace Ntirushwamaboko from Rwanda.
